Delivery

How delivery works on Ghochen, who carries your food, and what to do if something goes wrong on the road.

Frequently asked

Common questions on this topic.

Who delivers my order?

Most orders are delivered by a courier the cook has booked through us. For some partners with their own driver, the partner delivers directly. You see the rider name and live tracking either way.

How long does delivery usually take?

Delivery time depends on prep. A reheated tray of jollof might be ready in 15 minutes; a fresh batch of pierogi might take 50. The estimated window appears on the cook page before you order, and again at checkout.

Can I schedule delivery for a specific time?

Yes. At checkout, choose "Schedule for later" and pick a window. This is useful for Sunday lunch, iftar, or any meal you want to time. The cook starts prep so the food is ready inside the window you picked.

The rider could not find my address. What now?

The rider should call you. If they cannot reach you and the food is still safe to redeliver, we hold it nearby and try again. If too much time has passed, we cancel the trip and refund. To avoid this, add a delivery note when you place the order: gate code, flat number, the door colour, anything that helps.

Do you deliver to my area?

We are launching city by city, partner by partner. If a search turns up no cooks, we are not in your area yet. Drop your postcode on the home page and we will email when we get there.

Still need help?

If your question is not covered here, talk to your guide or contact a human directly. We respond within one working hour, 8am to 10pm UK time.
