Modern Slavery statement
Last updated 10 May 2026
This statement is published in line with section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps Ghochen Limited takes to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in our business or our supply chain.
Our business
Ghochen Limited operates a UK food marketplace connecting diaspora home cooks, family kitchens, and cultural grocers (our Partners) with customers. We dispatch deliveries via third-party courier networks. We are a small business but we hold ourselves to the same standards as larger platforms.
Our Partners
Every Partner is verified before going live. Verification includes confirmation of UK right-to-work, business registration where applicable, and Food Standards Agency rating. We will not onboard a Partner whose verification raises concerns about labour practices.
Our suppliers and processors
Ghochen contracts with established UK and EU suppliers for payment processing, delivery orchestration, hosting, and communications. Each is held to its own modern-slavery and ethical-sourcing standards, which we review annually.
Reporting concerns
Anyone with a concern about modern slavery in our business or supply chain can email legal@ghochen.com. All reports are reviewed by a director within 5 working days.
Sign-off
This statement is approved by the directors of Ghochen Limited and will be reviewed annually.
