Customer terms of service

These terms govern your use of the Ghochen marketplace as a customer. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to them. We use plain language wherever possible. Where the law requires specific phrasing, we keep it.
1. Who we are
Ghochen is operated by Ghochen Limited, a company registered in England. We run a marketplace where independent food businesses (Partners) sell to customers across the UK. Ghochen is a marketplace; the Partner is the seller of record for each order.
2. Your account
You can create an account using a phone number, email address, or a supported third-party sign-in. Keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, attempt fraud, or abuse our Partners or staff.
3. Orders and payment
When you place an order, the contract for the food is between you and the Partner. Ghochen acts as the Partner's agent for collecting payment. We charge the payment method you select at the time you place the order.
Prices include VAT where applicable. Delivery fees are shown before you confirm. You can cancel an order before the Partner accepts it without charge. After acceptance, refunds are governed by our refund policy.
4. Delivery
Delivery times are estimates. Where a courier is dispatched by Ghochen on the Partner's behalf, we will provide tracking. Delivery to a wrong address you provided, or repeated failed delivery attempts, may result in the order being marked complete without refund.
5. Allergens and dietary information
Partners are responsible for accurate allergen and dietary information on their listings. If you have a serious allergy, contact the Partner via the in-app chat before ordering. We surface allergen warnings prominently but cannot guarantee a kitchen is free from cross- contamination.
6. Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use Ghochen to harass Partners, couriers, or other customers.
- Attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, or otherwise abuse the platform.
- Place fraudulent orders or attempt to circumvent payment.
- Share contact details outside the redacted in-app chat in a way that bypasses platform protections.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the affected order.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email and via an in- app notice with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use of Ghochen after that constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms.
